CERTIFICATION
Measurable quality
The high standards we set for the quality and safety of our food are confirmed on a regular basis by independent testing institutes.
In addition to International Featured Standard Food (IFS-Food) approval, our company is also certified to EU-Öko VO and DIN EN ISO 50001. As a certified producer, we can supply you with organic products, MSC and ASC-certified fish products as well as KAT-labelled food.
IFS Food Standard
Contains what it says on the packaging
The IFS Food Standard audits food manufacturers with regard to food safety and the quality of processes and products.
An extensive test catalogue and a programme of regular auditing ensures that the desired quality standards are met.
Among other things, the IFS Food Standard examines manufacturing processes, quality and food safety management systems and ‘food defence’ (i.e. protection against terrorist acts), as well as resource management and corporate responsibility.
An IFS Food-approved product is traceable back to its origins. This transparency creates trust, and as an IFS Food certified company, we are happy to comply.
ISO 50001 certification (DIN EN ISO 50001): Energy management
Systematic energy management
Systematic energy management not only reduces operational energy consumption but also shows where there is potential for further savings to be made. Over and above the obvious advantages for the environment and for human society, by reducing running costs, we keep the final price of our goods down, thereby benefiting the consumer and boosting the competitiveness of our business.
An energy management system records the energy flows of a company and enables us to systematically and continuously improve our energy efficiency.
A triple win for the consumer, the producer and the environment.
ORGANIC
More than just healthy food
Our organic food comes from ecologically controlled cultivation. This is not only good for consumers but also for the environment.
Crops are grown without the use of pesticides and artificial fertilisers. In this way, the groundwater is protected and the volume of climate-damaging greenhouse gases is considerably reduced.
Organic cultivation specifically excludes the use of genetic engineering. Crops are not genetically modified, nor is livestock given genetically modified feed.
Thanks to our transparent production chain, every item can be traced back to its source. At least once a year, all of our operations are checked for full compliance with the environmental guidelines currently in force.
Because we are certified in accordance with EC Organic Regulation (Inspection body: DE-ÖKO-044), we can supply you with organic products of your choice. Just contact us!
MSC certification
Sustainable fishing – because we are all in the same boat
The sustainable management of our oceans is one of the most important duties of our time. The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) is an international, independent and not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the prevention of overfishing the oceans. The MSC has developed standards that allow fisheries around the globe to be checked and evaluated for sustainability.
The standards specify trawling methods for the protection of the seabed, for the prevention of overfishing vulnerable stocks, for the minimisation of bycatch and for the alignment of fisheries with sustainable management.
Consumers can easily identify products that meet these standards by looking for the blue MSC seal on the product packaging.
ASC certification
Know what it is you’re eating
The ASC logo on the packaging signifies a product that contains fish and seafood from sustainable and responsible breeding.
The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) has developed high standards which prescribe strict environmental criteria and also take social aspects into account.
All ASC-certified products must be traceable to the original supplier. A transparency that creates certainty and confidence.
DLG
Award-winning quality
The Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft (German Agricultural Society) is one of the most important organisations concerned with the independent quality assessment of food.
Only foods that have been subject to careful selection of raw materials and to optimum processing and preparation receive a highly coveted DLG medallion.
We are proud to confirm that, in recent years, several of our food products have been given top awards for quality and flavour by the DLG.
KAT certification
(Kontrollierte alternative Tierhaltung – Controlled alternative animal husbandry)
Where’s that from?
All KAT requirements are based on EU guidelines and regulations as well as marketing standards for eggs. They also take into account the provisions of German legislation on farm animal husbandry and other more general aspects of animal welfare.
However, the KAT criteria go beyond that.
The aim is cross-border compliance with the criteria defined by KAT. Key components are testing of the eggs themselves, as well as 100% traceability and certification of origin, from consumer to producer.
