The roots
of our success<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Although the success story of J\u00fctro TKK actually began with the founding of the former J\u00fctro Frost GmbH on 1st July 1991, our roots actually go back more than 100 years to 1st May in 1911 when Richard Meyer and his wife Marie founded the J\u00fctro cannery in J\u00fcterbog. <\/p>\n

The finest produce has been canned and boxed there ever since, although the initial focus on forest fruits, mushrooms and cucumbers has shifted several times over the years and the current best-sellers are high-value delicatessen items such as sauces, soups and stocks.<\/p>\n

This small family business has had its ups and downs but has managed to survive the Second World War and difficult periods of bankruptcy and state expropriation.<\/p>\n

The Meyers have remained loyal to their company and their employees right through to the current fourth generation.<\/p>\n

Conscious of the family tradition, Michael Meyer, son of the successful industrialist Bernd-Richard Meyer, took over the management of the newly founded J\u00fctro Tiefk\u00fchlkost Fabrik in 1996.<\/p>\n

As an independent company, it specialises in freezer technology and today supplies customers throughout Germany and Europe with the finest fruit and vegetable assortments as well as high-quality ready meals.<\/p>\n

The first J\u00fctro factory was established more than a century ago, and we at J\u00fctro are proud of our heritage. The company is still owner-managed, is still invested with family values and is carrying forward its customary high quality standards into the future. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Foundation of J\u00fctro Tiefk\u00fchlkost GmbH<\/h4>

On 1st March, the company acquires a share of I.Schroeder KG. With the arrival of Michael Meyer, the fourth generation of the family resumes its principal role in managing business operations. The technology of the old factory undergoes a complete overhaul to increase processing capacity.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/div>

The company is re-established as J\u00fcterboger Konservenfabrik Richard Meyer GmbH<\/h4>

After the political and economic upheavals of 1989, the canning factory leaves the collective combine in February 1990 and is now a legally independent company. On 1st April 1990, J\u00fcterboger Konservenfabrik Richard Meyer GmbH is re-established.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/div>

Nationalisation of the family business<\/h4>

50th anniversary<\/h4>

The company is still a family-run business when it celebrates its golden jubilee in 1962 but is subsequently taken into part-ownership by the state.
